Building Snowflakes

After reading Snowflake Bentley and discussing snowflakes, we made our own snowflakes out of marshmallows and toothpicks.

Spelling City

There is a great website for practicing word study (spelling) words. It's called Spelling City and it can be found under 'Internet Links' on the McPolin web page. It's great! Students type in their words and then they can play games to practice spelling their words. The kids really like it! One of their favorite games is Hang Mouse.





The kids were not shy about showing their excitement about the games.
