Biography Tour

We had a biography tour! The kids worked really hard on gathering information about a famous person, writing the sloppy copy, editing and revising, and lastly, publishing in Keynote. They even brought visuals (or dressed up like the person)! They did a super job!

Valentine's Day 2012

We had a lot of fun on Valentine's Day! We played a fun monster math game where the kids used monster numbers to add 2 2-digit numbers or 3 1-digit numbers. We also had a packet of activities (thank you, Melissa) the kids worked on while they passed out valentines. Add in some healthy snacks and it was a fun time had by all.

Week in Review

Last week in Journeys, we worked on sequence of events and summarizing. We made baseball players to go along with our story, Luke Goes to Bat.

We also had our art assembly and lesson. We learned about line, shape, and an artist by the name of Joan Miro.

Our week ended by watching the always enjoyable 5th grade circus. Those are some talented kids! Some of our classmates even got to participate in the circus pre-show.
